Gator Gubba Sun Protection Tips
Choose a sunscreen with broad spectrum protection with a SPF of 15 or higher. Using broad spectrum means you are protecting from both skin-aging UVA and skin-burning UVB rays.
Apply sunscreen at least 20 to 30 minutes before going outdoors.
No sunscreens are water proof. Reapply sunscreen frequently, at least every two hours. If you’re in the water, drying off or if you’re breaking a good sweat, reapply more often, every 30 to 60 minutes.
Know that the sun’s rays are strongest between
10:00 AM
and 4:00 PM. Protect yourself appropriately. Also know that you should use sunscreen no matter what time you go out to enjoy a bright day.
Fall, winter, spring, or summer sunscreen is needed all year round.
Wear protection on cloudy days as well as sunny. UVB rays may be partially blocked by the clouds, but UVA rays are not.
Don’t forget to protect your lips from the sun with Gator Gubba Year Round Lip Balms.
